DayCARE TO SUIT YOU
Traditional full-day daycare doesn’t suit every dog — many dogs don’t need a long day away from home. At Luna’s Doggie Den, our Early Riser and Late Riser Enrichment Sessions are thoughtfully structured around your dog’s normal routine, providing adventure, enrichment, rest, and companionship in just a few hours.
These sessions are tailored so that every dog’s needs are met. Owners aren’t paying for an afternoon of sleeping or overstimulation; they’re investing in a meaningful, fulfilling experience that allows dogs to head home calm, content, and ready to relax in the comfort of their own home.
How it works
Our Early Riser and Late Riser Enrichment Sessions are designed around what dogs genuinely need to feel happy, calm, and fulfilled.
1-1.5 hour walk
Our countryside walk is at least one hour long, and each dog’s adventure is guided by their own pace. Dogs are free to explore and enjoy as they wish — chasing Luna or other dogs, chasing a ball, sniffing, digging, zoomies, or simply staying close to me.
For safety and peace of mind, long lines are used where needed, and I always check consents with owners before off-lead fun begins.
Our Early Riser Enrichment Session begins with a countryside walk, before returning to the Den for calm enrichment, companionship, and gentle activities.
Our Late Riser Enrichment Session* starts with calm enrichment, play, and cuddles at the Den, before heading out for a countryside adventure of at least one hour. Dogs are returned home after the walk, relaxed and content.
*From June 2026
Enrichment at the den
After their countryside adventure, Early Riser dogs return to the Den for a calm, balanced mix of rest, relaxed play, cuddles, and enrichment.
Late Riser dogs* enjoy play, enrichment and cuddles at the Den before heading out for their countryside walk in the early afternoon.
Activities are thoughtfully chosen to reflect natural canine behaviours and instincts, allowing dogs to decompress fully — both mentally and physically — so that they head home relaxed, content, and ready for a well-earned nap.
*From June 2026
Local pick-up & Drop off
Local pick-up and drop-off are included, making the experience simple and seamless for owners.
Pick-ups and drop-offs are carefully scheduled around our morning and early afternoon walks, so dogs spend minimal time travelling and maximum time enjoying fun activities at the Den.
Pick-up times: from 7:30 am, 10 am
Drop-off times: from 1:30 pm, and 3 pm
Please note: “from” times indicate the start of our collection and drop-off routes. Exact timings will vary slightly depending on location and route planning.
Our local transport service covers clients in Riddlesdown, Sanderstead, South Croydon, Selsdon, and nearby areas (typically within a 1 mile radius of Sanderstead, CR2).
For regular clients, a key-holding service is also available for added convenience.
Dining at the den
Dogs are fed separately — either in different rooms or using barriers across open-plan spaces — ensuring each dog receives the correct portion and preventing any potential conflicts. Owners provide their dog’s meal, which is then fed at the Den at the appropriate time.
For safety reasons, we recommend that dogs — particularly our more active early risers— are fed after their morning walk, as exercise within 2–3 hours of a meal can increase the risk of bloat (GDV). Owners should provide their dog’s usual meal, which will be fed at the Den at the appropriate time.
Luna enjoys a daily home-cooked breakfast, and Den Dogs — along with their owners — have the opportunity to sample a portion of her breakfast. With prior agreement, a small amount may be incorporated into later enrichment activities. These snacks are optional and are not intended to replace your dog’s regular diet.
I have a keen interest in canine health and nutrition and have completed the IMDT Canine Nutrition course, continually building my knowledge through trusted recipes and expert resources.

From £30 per session*
- Local Pick-up from 10 am
- Chill, relax & play at the Den
- 1 hour countryside walk

Designed for dogs who prefer a slower start to the day.

Please note: This session is not suitable for dogs who need an immediate morning walk, unless that has already been provided by their owner, as the day begins with enrichment at the Den before exercise.
Ideal for dogs who:
- Enjoy a gentler start to the day
- Are calm in the morning
- Prefer exercise later in the day
*£30 for regular weekly clients, £35 for ad hoc bookings (subject to availability)
Need a little longer?
For dogs who would benefit from a longer day of company, our Retreat Day at the Den starts with our Late Riser session, with more time back at the Den following our afternoon walk. Drop off is from 6:00 pm, making this option ideal for dogs or owners needing a longer period of care.
Retreat Day at the Den: £40 for regular weekly clients, £45 for ad hoc bookings (subject to availability)
Because our Late Riser sessions begin with time at the Den before our walk, they are best suited to dogs who are happy to settle and relax in a home environment beforehand.
To keep the Den calm and enjoyable for everyone, ongoing bookings are only offered following a trial to make sure it’s the right fit.

"I ran my own dog walking, day and boarding business for 5 years and Tracey is the only person I’d leave my setter and lurcher with (other than my mum!). They absolutely adore her and she really does love them like she does Luna. Highly recommend her"

"We feel so lucky to have found Tracey for our dog Rocky. She began with puppy pop-in visits when he was just 12 weeks old and has gradually moved on to walks at his pace as he’s grown.
Tracey always checks in about how we’d like things done, so we’ve felt completely comfortable and involved throughout. Her communication is fantastic, and her updates are regular and reassuring.
She’s also gone above and beyond with helpful advice and guidance during our early weeks as new dog owners. It’s clear she genuinely cares about Rocky and his development. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her!"
Jo
"Tracey came highly recommended by another local dog walker and has been invaluable to us. She has been very welcoming to our dog who loves going out with her, as evidenced by Tracey's video updates from their walks. Tracey has been informative about her business so we know our dog is in very safe hands. Thank you!"
